When country king George Strait made a final tip of his cowboy hat and rode away into the sunset after his final tour, many fans wondered if it was the last time we would see him in the country music spotlight.

Well, leave it to George to give us our answer.

Announced officially on Sept. 16, George is heading back to the radio airwaves on Sept. 26 with a new song titled “Goin’ Goin’ Gone” from his latest album “Cold Beer Conversation.” The country legend actually has been playing it live already during his sold-out “Strait to Vegas” shows at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.

“It’s one of my favorite cuts,” says George in a recent press release. “It’s a fun song that if I was drinking a cold beer with some buddies, I’d want to hear.”

George also is making news as one of the 30 country stars currently featured in the brand-new song “Forever Country.” Released to radio on Sept. 16, George sings a part of the classic song “Country Roads (Take Me Home.)” Other country artists featured alongside George include Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Willie Nelson, Alabama, Keith Urban, and Randy Travis just to name a few.
