Liberals say the darnedest things

People often write to me.  Mostly to thank me, or sometimes to ask me a question like why don’t the numbers on usgovernmentrevenue.com agree with the OECD?

But then there are the liberals. Here is one recent correspondent:

The interesting thing about supposedly great right wing thinkers, is they spend all of their efforts to destroy safety nets for the less fortunate, ie welfare, health insurance, but never ever mention or care about corporate welfare which is sucking the marrow out of this country. It is easy for a weak person like yourself to attack people without power, but do not have the balls or backbone to call out the right wing greedy powers that support you.

How do you respond to a chap like that? How do you separate a partisan from his talking points?

The simple answer: you can’t. The whole point of political talking points is that they do not attempt to communicate but rather to dominate. And the most important minds to for liberals to dominate are not those of the evil right-wingers but their own partisan loyalists.

So the liberal rank and file won’t see reason to question them until the government safety net lies shattered at their feet. Liberals will never get that corporate welfare starts with moral crusades like “affordable housing” and green energy, that aim to help the masses, but simultaneously funnel millions of tax dollars to corporations every year. They will never get that the worst hypocrites in America are liberals driving around in their insanely subsidized Toyota Priuses.

I politely replied to my liberal correspondent, steering him towards my website americanmanifesto.org where answers to all questions are available. He replied with more insults.

While [you] sit in your ivory tower and and come up with all your bullshit theories I live in the real world where the real problems are. Where people with families are paid wages under the the poverty level. Where people who fought for this country come back and cannot afford health insurance. Where companies like Walmart cutback their employees hours so they do not have to pay them health insurance. Where companies like McDonald’s tell their employees to ask for food stamps, so they can survive.

But wait, there’s more:

The Republican Party which has turned into the tea party has gone to war with women, the poor, the people that need health insurance. Most arrogant self-centered least compromising most homophobic, humans I have ever seen in my life. And they have the  balls to wrap this into religion. Even though their religion teaches them the opposite. Just like the Taliban.

You won’t be surprised to learn that my liberal friend closes with the importance of being “a decent caring human being.”

All in all, I’m pleased with my ivory-tower idea that a government is like an army. The job of an army leader is to offer his troops the hope of loot, stuff like subsidized health insurance. Through thick and thin, he fills his troops with morale-raising rubbish until the day that he runs out of money.

That’s when the political leader leaves his supporters, folks like my liberal friend, starving by the side of the road, and takes the plane to his magnificent estate in Hawaii, paid for by a good liberal trustafarian from Chicago.

What do you think?
