Marshawn Lynch may have run wild as Beast Mode during his time in the NFL, but he was in for a whole new sort of wild ride when he took a trip into the mountains with Bear Grylls.

In a recent episode of Grylls’ “Running Wild,” the British adventurer took the retired football player on a two-day trek through France’s Corsican Mountains. The trip┬ástarted out on rocky footing after Marshawn had to climb down a mountain with a makeshift spear and a machete to track down a hog for dinner.

Needless to say, the former Seattle Seahawk was not too happy about that part of the journey.

Things got even more “dreadly” when Grylls actually used pieces of Marshawn’s dreads to start a fire.

“The show should be not ‘Running Wild,’ it should be ‘Bear Be Trippin’ on Mountains,'” Lynch said at one point during their adventure. Beast Mode’s reactions to his journey into the wild turned this survival show into a must-watch comedic television moment.
