The news of Florence Henderson’s death nearly broke Maureen McCormick’s heart.

The actress, who played Marcia on “The Brady Bunch,” talked openly in an emotional interview on “Entertainment Tonight” about her final days with Henderson, her TV mom.

“Just total disbelief … I had just been with her. I had just seen her. I think everyone was just shocked,” McCormick said of the moment she heard the news.

Shortly before her sudden death, Henderson was cheering McCormick on from the audience of the season 23 finale of “Dancing with the Stars.” That was Henderson’s final television appearance.

“It was amazing. It was amazing. It was so great to be with her,” McCormick said.

Days later, Henderson died of heart failure at age 82 at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Hospital.

“Florence’s heart was so good. She played this mother that many people joke about and they say, ‘oh you know, it’s just so sweet and everything,'” McCormick said. “But you know what? She was that sweet. She was the loveliest. The loveliest of ladies.”

Through tears, McCormick sent one final message to her late friend and idol.

“Thank you. Thank you. Love you forever,” she said.
