Lately, it feels like everywhere you turn, there is yet another amazing piece of music being made in celebration of the upcoming 50th Annual CMA Awards. Of course, there was the “Forever Country” song and video, which united 30 country acts on a mashup of three amazing country songs. Then, there was the much more subdued duet between CMA Awards host Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, who came together to do an elegant and beautiful rendition of “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and “I Will Always Love You.”
But, that’s not all!
Yet another duet was recently discovered featuring the talents of the amazing Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban. The two, who both have a number of CMA awards sitting on their mantles, come together to sing two country classics — “Always on My Mind” by Willie Nelson and “Crazy” by Patsy Cline – to once again promote the upcoming awards.
The beauty of two of today’s biggest country music stars paired with two classic songs that country music has been built on is nothing short of stunning. Of course, this is not the first time that the Aussie and the Texan came together to make some amazing music. In 2014, the two brought home the CMA Award for musical event of the year for their collaboration on the hit single “We Were Us.”
