The historically corrupt and currently bankrupt Motor city is quickly turning into the country’s most libertarian city, according to MSNBC host Ari Melber.
“While it suffered for years under mismanagement and corruption under many Democratic officials, today Detroit is fast becoming the most libertarian city in the United States. In many areas, there are basically no public services besides decaying roads and bombed out infrastructure,” Melber said on “The Cycle” Wednesday afternoon.
Melber then offered up some of his solutions, all of which involved federal government assistance coming from Washington, D.C.
The most creative way for Detroit to stimulate its economy and preserve its cultural heritage, Melber argued, was to create a Smithsonian museum in Detroit with all of the city’s artwork.
