Talk radio host Herman Cain sounded off on his radio program Tuesday about the president’s decision to punt his authority to take action in Syria to Congress.
“The big question is what President Obama had to say in terms of having to wait for Congress,” Cain said. The president made comments that he would like to wait for the people’s representatives to return to session before taking action against Syria.
“This does not make sense.”
Earlier, President Obama announced that he believes he has the authority to take action without specific congressional authorization.
“I hate to be skeptical about this folks,” Cain said, before describing this move as “distraction politics.”
“If he does not feel he needs congressional approval, why’s he doing it?”
