Reince Priebus appeared on ABC News’ “This Week” and sent a serious message to the director of a federal ethics office.

“The head of the government ethics ought to be careful, because that person is becoming extremely political,” he said.

According to the New York Daily News, Priebus was speaking directly to Walter Shaub, the director of the independent Office of Government Ethics, who has been outspoken about his opposition to Trump’s plans to hand-off his businesses once he takes office.

During his campaign, Trump promised he would put his assets in a blind trust if elected, but last week, he announced he was going to hand it off to his two adult sons, Donald Jr. and Eric.

“I’m not so sure what this person at Government Ethics — what sort of standing he has anymore in giving these opinions,” Priebus said accusing Shaub of being biased toward the left.

Shaub has been outspoken about his dislike for Trump since he won the presidency. After the win, he reportedly tweeted a sarcastic comment that read, “Bravo! Only way to resolve these conflicts of interest is to divest. Good call!”
