Reba has been tugging at her fans’ heartstrings for years now, but her latest single and video, “Just Like Them Horses,” may be her most devastating performance yet.

The song was released on Reba’s last studio album, “Love Somebody,” in 2015, but Reba had the song played at her father Clark’s funeral in Oklahoma in October 2014. Clark McEntire was a world champion rodeo star and rancher who deeply loved the family’s homeplace in Chockie, Okla. That’s why Reba returned there to film the new video.

Reba says of her late father, “I took him to Europe and Australia. On one of those trips he said, ‘If I ever get home, I’m not gonna go past the mail box.'”

As part of saying goodbye to her father, Reba included her mother, Jackie, as her co-star in the new video.

“Mama had to be in the video,” Reba explains. “She was and still is the glue to our family. Without a doubt, the ranch wouldn’t be what it is today without her. She was the partner, bookkeeper, #1 hired hand, cook, my best friend and as I said, the glue.”

Reba is enjoying some time away from the concert stage so far this year. She returns to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas this May with Brooks & Dunn to continue their ongoing residency.
