Rosie O’Donnell’s Twitter became the topic of great debate this week after the famed comedian sent out a message about President-elect Donald Trump’s son, Barron.

For many years, Rosie and Trump have been at each other’s throats, and that has only intensified since Trump was elected president.

Rosie’s tweet about Barron wondered aloud whether the young son of the president-elect had autism. Rosie has long been an advocate for autism awareness, and has a child with autism.

“Barron Trump Autistic? if so – what an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the AUTISM epidemic,” O’Donnell said to her followers.

Rosie’s message was accompanied by a video that showed “evidence” that Barron may have the developmental disorder.

After publishing the message, Rosie was criticized by many of her followers for bringing undue attention to the boy, and his possible disorder.

When she clarified her position, Rosie reminded fans that she did not create the video she posted, and as a parent of an autistic child, she notices certain triggers.

“Not my movie clip – lots of us – who raise autistic children notice things many would miss… somethings felt familiar .”
