SNL cast member comments on lack of black women on show

Since 1975, only four black women have reached regular player status on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. For years, the show has been criticized for their lack of diversity. Cast member Kenan Thomspon, has received backlash from recent comments he made concerning the lack of diversity in the cast.

 

 “It’s just a tough part of the business,” Thompson says. “Like in auditions, they just never find ones that are ready.”
