Here’s another sign of the impending apocalypse — the Hamdog is a thing.

This culinary abomination features a burger that’s been split in half so a hot dog can be placed between the pieces. It also includes a uniquely shaped bun that can accommodate both types of meat. The Hamdog is topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise.

According to the BBC, Hamdog creator Mark Murray invented the product in 2004 and patented it five years later. Last year, he pitched it on Australia’s version of “Shark Tank,” describing it as a “party in your mouth.”

While none of the “Shark Tank” judges wanted to sink their teeth into the invention, Murray is now selling Hamdogs at fairs and markets across western Australia, and business is booming.

“At one stage the crew were knocking out about one every 15 seconds,” he said. “It was amazing.”
