October 11 marks International Day of the Girl and Hollywood is celebrating.

The theme of this year’s celebration is “Girls’ Progress = Goals’ Progress: A Global Data Movement.” This year, the movement hopes to help empower women all over the world.

High-profile Hollywood women celebrated the occasion with a series of photos with their female mentors and mentees. Gabby Douglas, Gabourey Sidibe, Chloe Grace Moretz, Iman and Amanda de Cadenet were among the women who banned together for this inspirations campaign.

“I attribute so much of my growth, both personally and professionally, to strong guidance from my mentors. I couldn’t be more pleased to honor that special relationship by joining forces with #ActuallySheCan Mentorship, helping young women realize the value of the counsel mentors can provide,” Douglas said.

The campaign is designed to start a movement, #ActuallySheCan that has been designed to create a dialogue about modern female empowerment and celebrate women’s ambitions.
