According to PEOPLE, Tarek El Moussa filed for divorce Monday from his wife of seven years and is reportedly seeking spousal support from her.

The former couple are still maintaining that their two children, Taylor, 6, and Brayden, 1, are their number one priority, and they are continuing to work together to film their reality show.

“They continue to work and film together several days a week,” a source revealed. “The children are their number one priority and maintaining normalcy for them. They will do anything for their children.”

A source close to the show reportedly said that the couple took a break from filming for the holidays, but will be back to work for new episodes in season 7 and will continue to film together for the next seven to eight months.

The El Moussas announced their separation in December 2016 and revealed that a scary altercation involving a gun and police was the final straw. They reportedly attended marriage counseling to “sort out” their problems, but ultimately decided to go their separate ways.
