Ever wonder what happened to the Benghazi scandal? House Republicans held multiple hearings about it. Whistleblowers testified about the administration’s coverup and security failures. Obama tried to deflect and dodge.
Then, it all seemingly went away. Congress moved on to immigration reform and eventually Syria and nobody is talking about Benghazi.
Nobody that is except Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) who can’t seem to stop talking about it. Wolf, who has long been a vocal advocate for human rights, has released dozens of YouTube videos asking vital questions about the terrorist attack, questions the Obama administration still refuses to answer.
Wolf has also drafted a solution to the Benghazi problem — unfortunately nobody in Congress or the White House wants to talk about it.
Wolf’s solution: a bipartisan Select Committee to investigate the terrorist attack. He has even drafted a bill — House Resolution 36 — that would establish the committee and provide it with funding. Representative Wolf has also gotten 160 cosponsors — a majority of House Republicans — to join him in trying to solve the Benghazi scandal once and for all.
Sadly, nobody in Washington wants to talk about Rep. Wolf’s bill. GOP leadership never wanted to bring it up for a vote. Democrats of course want nothing to do with it.
A Select Committee is really the only way to finally solve the Benghazi puzzle. The question is, will anyone have the courage to talk about it?
