Ahmad Khan Rahami is now in custody, New Jersey law enforcement officials told WNBC.

The 28-year-old man was wanted for questioning in connection with a pair of explosions reported over the weekend in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and a New Jersey shore town. Authorities in New Jersey apprehended Rahami around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

Authorities told the news station Ahmad Khan Rahami was arrested after a police-involved shooting in Linden, New Jersey. According to ABC New York, New Jersey mayor, Chris Bollwage confirmed two officers were wounded in the apprehension of the suspect. Rahami was also injured.


Photos of the confrontation are beginning to surface online.

Authorities also seized a suspicious package along with Rahami, according to the SBA.
