The active shooter warning at Ohio State has been lifted, the scene has been declared “secure,” and a suspect has been killed, according to a federal law enforcement official and the Columbus Department of Public Safety.

The threat is believed to be contained, but authorities are investigating further and continuing to sweep the campus. All remaining classes on the Columbus campus have been cancelled.

Though it is unclear if anyone was shot, at least eight people were transported to local hospitals. One of them is reportedly in critical condition, while two others are stable.
