As the week drew to a close on Sept. 16, country music fans began to look to their plans for the weekend, whether that meant some quiet time at home with the family or finally attending that concert that they had been waiting for.

But then they got a surprise that they now just can’t seem to get out of their heads.

“Surprise!” the a cappella super group Pentatonix posted on their Facebook page on Sept. 16. “Here’s a new video of us singing the classic country hit ‘Jolene’ with the legend herself, Dolly Parton. Special thanks to our friends at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for making this happen! Singing with Dolly was a dream come true for us, and we had so much fun arranging the song!”

The collaboration was quite a surprise for music and country fans alike. “I teamed up with Pentatonix to do an all new version of ‘Jolene,’” Dolly added in a Facebook post. “It was absolutely magical singing with such a talented group! Special thanks to our friends at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for making this happen!”

It made for quite the morning for Dolly, whose participation in the 30-plus artist collaboration on the song “Forever Country” also debuted on the very same day.
