Meghan Merriott and Robert Cooper got a very nice surprise when their 12-week-old baby did something incredible while doctors took a sonogram.
The baby can be seen saluting them. The couple told ABC that their unborn baby “raised its hand to its eyebrow like a miniature soldier.”
“While they were doing the sonogram the baby was actually sleeping on its side, and they tried several times to get him/her to wake up to take the picture that they needed to take,” Merriott told ABC News. “The baby didn’t want to wake up, then threw [its] hand in the air and then threw it back down.”
Merriott told ABC News that doctors, nurses and their 3-year-old were in awe of the beautiful moment.
“We thought it was pretty crazy at first,” Merriott told ABC News. “The doctors, nurses, my son was there…he looked up at the screen and started laughing.”
Cooper, who is a former Marine, told ABC News that’s he can’t wait to meet his baby.
She said the baby’s paternal grandmother has the intention of hanging up “the salute” sonogram image, in honor of family members, who served in the Army, according to ABC News.
The Georgia couple is planning a gender reveal party the end of the month.
