When it comes to getting his foot in the door with potential employers, Lukas Yla is a certified genius.

The 25-year-old Lithuanian native was looking for a marketing job in San Francisco and decided that the best way to get an interview was posing as a Postmates delivery man and showing up to marketing agencies and tech firms with his résumé packaged inside a box of donuts.

“I was looking for the most direct way to reach decision makers at the companies,” Yla told Thrillist via email. “I thought, that I might fail competing only on ‘resume’ level with other candidates that have work experience in San Francisco.”

This is one example of when thinking inside the box really pays off.
