A Michigan mother is being hailed for her love and kindness today after mobilizing those on social media to celebrate her son’s birthday.

The anonymous mother created a Facebook page to gather birthday wishes for her young son Colin, who has Asberger syndrome and doesn’t have many friends.

According to a post on the Facebook page, he is a very lonely boy who often sits alone at lunch.

“… when I asked him if he wanted a party for his birthday, he said there wasn’t a point because he has no friends. He eats lunch alone in the office everyday because no one will let him sit with them, and rather than force someone to be unhappy with his presence, he sits alone in the office,” Colin’s mom wrote on Facebook.

Since Colin doesn’t want a party, his mother took to Facebook to gather birthday wishes from people who understood his plight. The Facebook page is a complete secret and will no doubt stun the little boy on his upcoming 11th birthday. The page is filled with comments, videos and pictures from all around the world.

According to Colin’s mom, she has been receiving dozens of birthday cards in the mail for her little boy.

With over 1 million Facebook likes and counting, it’s pretty clear Colin won’t be feeling alone much longer.
