Sarah Palin was set to appear at a campaign rally for GOP front-runner Donald Trump in Florida, but instead will fly home to Alaska after learning that her husband, Todd, has been in a serious snow machine accident.

Todd Palin was in a “very serious” crash Sunday evening and is currently hospitalized and is in intensive care, according to reports.

The Trump campaign issued two statements on Monday, first announcing Palin’s cancelation, saying her noon appearance in Florida—one day ahead of the Super Tuesday voting in the state tomorrow—was cancelled and that “Governor Palin wishes her best to Mr. Trump in the upcoming primaries.”

Shortly after, Trump’s campaign issued a statement saying “Todd Palin was in a bad snow machine accident last night and is currently hospitalized. Governor Palin is returning to Alaska to be with her husband and looks forward to being back on the campaign trail soon. Mr. Trump’s thoughts and prayers are with the Palin family at this time.”
