Back in 2012, country music sensation and current CMA entertainer of the year nominee Carrie Underwood took to the Grand Ole Opry stage as part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association Show of Strength Telethon.

There, she gave an applause-worthy performance of her empowerment anthem “Nobody Ever Told You” from her fourth studio album, “Blown Away.”

In this video, you’ll see that Carrie in a frill sleeve, sunny-colored dress and sparkly heels. She flaunts some sexy confidence, while singing the bubbly tune that encourages women all over to showcase their natural beauty.

Uplifting messages like that served a purpose for the special, which aired on Sept. 2 on MDA’s Love Network. Along with an all-star cast including fellow country singers Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan, families shared touching stories to help raise awareness about MDA’s fight to end muscle disease.

Just recently, on Oct. 7 and 8, the Grand Ole Opry celebrated its 91st Birthday Bash and welcomed a slew of other country star performances.

Currently, Carrie is playing shows for her Storyteller Tour. In November, she’ll break away from the trek to co-host the 50th anniversary of the CMA’s alongside Brad Paisley.
