New York construction workers thought of a creative tactic to help firefighters rescue a man from the second floor of a house fire in the town of Gouverneur.
According to the Gouverneur Fire Department, construction workers were close by working on a bridge as the fire was happening, which allowed them to use their excavator to get the man out of the burning home.
Gouverneur Fire Department uploaded the amazing footage to Facebook:
The man escaped the blaze unharmed. Another man inside the home jumped out of a second-floor window, according to the fire department.
Residents inside the home were all accounted for, and firefighters eventually put out the blaze.
A job well done.
