Watching this clip of Brett Eldredge sing “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow” at “CMA Country Christmas,” it’s clear this guy has big band music in his blood.

Brett actually became obsessed with the retro sounds of big band at a young age.

He tells Rare Country, “Since I was 13 or 14, I was listening to the big band sound. My grandfathers both loved this sound, so I would ride around and listen to Sinatra and Bobby Darin and Dean Martin and all these guys. It was so cool that my grandfather loved it, so I wanted to love it.”

That passion for big band music soon turned up in the small town shows Brett would perform growing up in Illinois. Around the holidays, that set list included holiday hits from the likes of Bing Crosby and Nat “King” Cole.

“I’m a freak for Christmas,” Brett tells us. “Growing up, I was like, I can’t wait for one day [when] we can listen to my Christmas album as we’re decorating the tree.”

That dream became a reality this year with the release of Brett’s new holiday album, “Glow,” featuring this arrangement of “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow” you hear here.

Says Brett, “We recorded the album, and it’s the most magical experience I’ve ever had in the studio. I’m so happy it’s finally out.”

Catch Brett’s full performance on ABC’s “CMA Country Christmas” airing at 8 p.m. ET Monday, Nov. 28.
