Selena Gomez is in recovery mode.
The 24-year-old pop star is being treated for mental health issues at a Tennessee facility, according to multiple news outlets.
Back in August, Gomez announced she was taking a break to manage “anxiety, panic attacks and depression,” and she recently canceled the 34 remaining dates on her “Revival” world tour.
Gomez went to rehab in 2014, a year she was diagnosed with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease. The singer also stopped working on new music.
“Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,” a source close to the singer tells news outlets. “She can go to a very dark place.”
The insider describes the treatment facility just outside of Nashville as a “private and quiet place” but “super intense.”
According to US Weekly, Gomez has been using this break from music to spend time with her family.
