Weird Al Yankovic is, at this point, a cultural institution. For decades, the comedic musician has put his own spins on popular tunes and crafted his goofy ditties to the delight of audiences. Preparing for his tour, Yankovic decided that he needed some serious rehearsal and practice; he wanted to be at the top of his game. And who better to whip him into shape than J.K. Simmons’ “Whiplash” character, Terence Fletcher?

In this College Humor video, Fletcher really puts Yankovic through the wringer, intensely critical of any small mistake. On the bright side, you have to think he’ll be on point for demanding songs like “Albuquerque.”
