Happy Halloween, boys and ghouls!

As a mom of two, I’m always looking for ways to cut corners, spending-wise. So I decided to make Halloween costumes for my son and daughter this year.

I used a few materials I already had at home to make this wind-up toy crank, which can then be attached to pretty much any costume. The most difficult part (and honestly, it’s not that hard) may be┬ámeasuring the Velcro strap to fit your child’s waist.

You’ll need:

  • Paper towel roll
  • Piece of cardboard
  • Velcro strap
  • Spray paint
