The first presidential debate is just one week away. Donald Trump added some debate preparation time to his Sunday schedule. He prepared with his senior advisers, but CNN reports some on his team are concerned.
“He’s playing it a little bit loose and in his sort of free-form style,” New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman told the network. “But a lot of people around him are concerned that won’t translate quite as well in a general election debate.”
Haberman added that Trump is only taking a weekend to get ready. Trump does not like participating in mock debates to prepare.
The first of three debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton takes place Monday, Sept. 26 at Hofstra University in New York City. The debate will be moderated by NBC’s Lester Holt. Follow Rare on Twitter for live updates.
