Céline Dion is an absolute queen!
The award-winning singer appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Monday, where DeGeneres decided it was time for Dion to expand her repertoire and break away from the ballads we all know and love.
“It’s so beautiful and you sing these ballads all of the time and I want you to keep growing as an artist,” DeGeneres explained. “We put some rap songs in the prompter and all you have to do is sing the words.”
“Okay, oh my God,” Dion said as the piano started.
First, Dion put her twist on Nelly’s hit, “Hot in Herre.”
“What is that?” she said when she finished. “My career is going to end tonight!”
Next up, Dion performed her rendition of “Shots” by LMFAO ft. Lil John. For that song, Dion went a mashup of “Shots” and Sia’s “Chandelier.” Nice touch.
Dion then took on “Work Bitch” by Britney Spears. Some of the lyrics were a little much for Dion, so she decided to make a few edits as she sang.
Last up, Dion sang “Work It” by Missy Elliot. Oh yes, she did scat as she sang!
We hope she incorporates a little rap into some of her upcoming shows!
