This beautiful instrumental version of “Hallelujah” is breathtaking

The Award-winning violinist Rob Landes and pianist Aubry Pitcher teamed for this absolutely gorgeous looping violin/piano cover of Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” written in 1984.

Cohen wrote nearly 80 versions of the song before he settled on the final version, and while the song was never intended to be a gospel song, many interpret it that way because of its references to the story of Samson and Delilah, and to King David and Bathsheba in the Bible.

Regardless, the performance given here by Landes and Pitcher is absolutely stunning.
