Al had known about the pregnancy for quite awhile before the official announcement was posted to Instagram on March 14th.

Happy News

The announcement included several sweet video clips of the couple going on various outings together. As the clips continue, they transition into ultrasound videos and short segments of the sonogram photos of their baby. The comments are flooded with several well-wishes and congratulations to the couple as they begin the journey of expanding their family.

The video clip was captioned “A new adventure is about to begin ❤️🍼,” with Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby” playing in the background.

In a text message sent to TODAY.com, Courtney shared that she is “feeling great and baby is healthy. We are extremely excited to welcome a new member into our family and start this next chapter in our lives. We feel truly blessed and excited for our little miracle.”

Yesterday, Al told his co-hosts that the news “still hasn’t quite sunken in” yet.

Funny Stories

He went on to reveal that his daughter and son-in-law were not the people that shared the pregnancy news with him.

Roker’s co-hosts laughed alongside him as he shared the story. “Wes’ goofy brother accidentally dropped (the news) on a text, thanks Cory.”

“There’s one in every family!” Savannah Guthrie joked.

To which Al replied, “Two in mine.”

Al would like to take on the nickname “Pop-Pop” in honor of his own father. The heartfelt wish was shared in the Instagram comments of his daughter’s announcement. “Here we go!!! So very very happy!!!!! You guys,” the comment read. And then another saying, “Going for Pop-Pop.”
