Something about doggy food looked appetizing to Serena Williams, but she quickly learned that looks can be deceiving.
While Williams was staying at a “fancy hotel,” in Rome she noted the “doggy menu” dishes looked just like human food.
So, she decided to give it a taste-test.
First on her Yorkie’s dinner menu was a chicken, beef and vegetable dish, followed by a salmon and rice dish the next day. Williams noted the dishes looked better than her own food.
Williams went with the salmon.
It should come as no surprise that this dish didn’t really sit well the tennis pro’s stomach.
The 34-year-old tennis champion relayed the stomach-turning ordeal on Snapchat.
“Don’t judge me, I ate a spoonful!” Serena admitted. “Let’s fast forward to two hours — I just ran to the toilet. Like, I thought I was gonna pass out.”
“It did taste weird,” she added. “I forced swallowed it … it tasted a little bit like a house cleaner kind of thing.”
“I don’t think it’s consumable for humans … and they should have wrote that!” Williams joked. “I am on the struggle boat. I guess I’m going to look really svelte on the court tomorrow.”
In a disclaimer at the end she wrote, “IF YOU ARE HUMAN — DO NOT EAT. IT MAKES YOU SH*T!”
