After months of publicly discussing how they were trying to have a child, entertainers John Legend and Chrissy Teigen announced this week that they are expecting a baby.
“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant,” Chrissy announced on Instagram.
“As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.”
Last September, Teigen opened up about the struggles she was having with her husband to conceive, and how much she wanted children.
“John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened,” she told Tyra Banks.
“But my gosh, it’s been a process.”
The couple, who married in 2013, have quickly become a pair of Internet darlings with their public display of maximum affection across their social media pages. When the announcement was made, fans flocked to their pages to wish them well.
“We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching!”
