Angela Bassett DID her thing!!! At the 95th annual Academy Awards, the actress made a shocking appearance on the red carpet donning a stunning Moschino gown in a regal shade of purple. The eye-catching dress boasts an attention-grabbing bow-like design at the bust, along with diagonal draping across the torso and waist, a mermaid-style silhouette, and a long sweeping train.

Bassett is nominated for Best Supporting Actress at tonight’s awards for her portrayal of Queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she discussed reprising her role in the Marvel franchise’s second installment following the sad passing of Chadwick Boseman.

“We go through hard things in life, but you’re an artist. And if you have an opportunity to use it, you make that pain good for something, for some illumination, for audiences who sit in the dark and watch it later. It’ll reflect what they’re going through or what they will go through at some point,” she stated.
