Just as they did in a Kevin Spacey hosted show in 1997, “Saturday Night Live” used “Star Wars” auditions as a chance to show off some celebrity impressions in a hilarious manner.
In Saturday’s Matthew McConaughey hosted episode, the show had real-life “Star Wars” director JJ Abrams introduce some lost auditions featuring some very famous people.
Some of the film’s real cast members showed up for the skit, adding a layer of real-life Hollywood to a skit that largely made fun of Hollywood.
From Cecily Strong’s pitch-perfect delivery of Sophia Vergara, to Aidy Bryant’s Winona Judd, the cast delivered a bunch of impressions at rapid fire pace with the help of the cast of “Star Wars” and actors Emma Stone and Jon Hamm.
