One of Hollywood’s sweethearts was barely recognizable when she showed up at the Tony Awards on Sunday night. Ryan was tasked with introducing a performance by the cast of “She Loves Me” but her new look was all Twitter could focus on.

Ryan has been outspoken about the constant questions about plastic surgery and her opinion on the matter has remained the same throughout the years. Ryan has publicly claimed in the past that she embraces the aging process and last year, she opened up to Porter Magazine about her appearance.

“We get stuck in these conversations about looks and hair color and our roots,” she said. “It’s interesting and funny for five minutes. But it’s not that interesting.”

Ryan has always danced around rumors that she has had plastic surgery despite the opinions of her fans. “I love my age. I love my life right now. I love the person I’ve become, the one I’ve evolved into,” she said. “In my life I’ve been scrappy as hell, but I feel easy with things now. I think that comes with age.”
