Apparently, Kim Kardashian West was blown away by the reaction she got after posting a “nude” selfie in March.
Kardashian West went on a podcast, Recode Decode, and dished about the selfie to Kara Swisher.
“I truly was baffled that people still cared. They have seen me naked 500 times!” she said. “Some people were outraged because I am a mom, some people were so supportive … I just think it looks good, I am really not trying to cause a reaction.”
She also shared a special message for the haters.
“My personality has never been, ‘I’m such a feminist and follow me and be naked!’..’” Kardashian West revealed. “If you are conservative and that’s how you are comfortable, more power to you. I respect you. You don’t have to look at what I do.”
Some stars including Sharon Osbourne, Courtney Stodden and Emily Ratajkowski showed their support for Kardashian West, while others — Pink, Chloë Grace Moretz and Bette Midler — criticized the mom of two.
After all of the attention, Kardashian West claimed she was only trying to promote women’s empowerment and body positivity.
But, she didn’t mean for it to go viral? We’re not sure we buy that.
