Lunchtime for elementary school students is most likely the most anticipated time of the day, but the young son of popular TikToker Will Meyers got a big surprise when he recently opened up his packed lunch. Myers posted a humorous TikTok under the username @moneymanmyers detailing the incident.

At the start of the 26-second viral TikTok, Meyers said “Well, I’ve got to go pick up my kid from school today because I made a big mistake. Whenever my son was born, the best advice I got was ‘you know more than you think you do,’ but today is not that day.”

TikTok Dad’s Hilarious Mistake

As the video continues, Meyers films two similar-looking black cans lying on his table next to each other. One of them is Liquid Death, which is flavored sparkling water. The other can was Guinness, which is a dark beer. Viewers can guess from here which can Meyers sent his child off to school with.

Meyers goes on to say, “One of these is not sparkling water. While it may look like the sparkling water can, it is not sparkling water.” At the end of the video, Meyers quips, “Therefore, I have to go pick up my kid from school and try to explain this situation.” Hopefully, the school, which called Meyers in about the situation, will understand the incident was just an innocent mix-up.

The TikTok currently sits at 2.7 million views, with 199.7k likes. Meyers, who has 382k followers on TikTok, is known for his videos about managing money, so this viral TikTok was a break from his usual posts. Many other TikTokers rushed to the comments section to tell their similar stories.

One TikToker wrote, “My dad sent me to school with a Mike’s hard lemonade in kindergarten, so I think it’s just a normal dad thing.” Another said, “I sent two packs of cigarettes in a bag of paper plates and napkins to my daughter’s class.”

Arguably the best anecdote shared in the comments was from one mom who wrote, “My daughter thought she found a car’s ‘shifter’ on the ground and brought it into her school. It was a bong. Police were called. Fun times.” A teacher also commented, saying, “Lolll I once had a dad panicking to get to his daughter’s lunchbox before she got to his missing brownies.”
