Actually, it was Washington’s character that saved the child being portrayed by Fanning in Man on Fire, released in 2004.

For the first time since they are back together again. This time, it will be in Equalizer 3. The two took part in a photo shoot in Italy to promote the fact they are reuniting on the screen.

“My gratitude to share the screen once again with the legend of all legends is endless. Can’t wait,” Fanning, now 28, said on Instagram, via People.

Fanning was 9-years old the last time she shared the screen with Washington, now 67. Equalizer 3 promises every bit as much action. It’s a welcome return to action for Washington, who is coming off starring in The Tragedy of MacBeth.

“I gotta get in shape and start beating people up again,” he said recently, via People. “I get to beat people up again. The Tragedy of Macbeth and then going and beating some people up — can’t get any better, right?”

Fans of Fanning and Washington, or their pairing, will just have to be patient. Equalizer 3 isn’t due to hit theaters until September 2023.
