Once again, Arizona Cardinals defensive end JJ Watt is delivering big for his fans while off the field.

On Thursday, JJ Watt offered to help Jennifer Simpson in Houston, where he previously played, pay for her grandfather’s funeral.
Previously, Simpson tweeted that she would have to sell her JJ Watt shoes and jersey to help cover the costs.
“I have a pair of @JJWatt womens edition of Reebok shoes size 9 $60,” Simpson tweeted on Wednesday night. “I’ve worn them twice. They are great shoes, im only selling because we are raising money for my grandpas funeral. I also have a Watt womens XL Texans Jersey $30. Anyone interested?”
JJ Watt replied: “Don’t sell your shoes and jersey, we’ll help with the funeral. I’m sorry for your loss.”
JJ Watt’s statement sparked a slew of compliments on Twitter. The tweet garnered more than 196,000 likes and 14,000 retweets.
Additionally, JJ Watt fans gushed in the comments section of the tweet.
“This is why we love you JJ,” user @MattSotera wrote.
“Dude, you’re as humble as they come. #kudos #rolemodel,” @RJMurphy1981 commented.
“Class act as always,” @cardsfanjoanna chimed in.
In February 2018, Baylor College of Medicine gave Watt a Doctor of Humanities in Medicine honorary doctorate for his aid following Hurricane Harvey. The hurricane devastated Texas and Louisiana in August 2017.
“He is known for his efforts both on and off the football field. @JJWatt of the @HoustonTexans raised more than $37 million to support Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts, will receive a Doctor of Humanities in Medicine degree,” Baylor College of Medicine tweeted at the time.
Watt’s efforts following Hurricane Harvey also earned him the prestigious NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award and Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year.
