Kids Make Their Parents Totally Lose It Over Fake Celeb Deaths, Exploit Reactions on TikTok

The celebrity death TikTok challenge goes like this. A kid tells their parent that someone famous dies and films their reaction. Sometimes they keep the prank going and sometimes they’re exposed. Every time, however, jaws drop, time stops, and hearts break.

In this video, a kid starts by gasping about the death of someone famous. Their mom stops in her tracks while in the kitchen. “Keith Richards! Keith f***ing Richards!” says the mom.

“No, it’s someone else,” the kid replies.

The mom keeps listing off famous musicians and then is told it’s “Ozzy” (Osbourne). She then starts wailing uncontrollably, her body frozen in a rigor mortis-like state.

Here, a daughter tells a room full of people at Christmas that Barack Obama has died. Some start yelling and everyone’s upset.

In this one, a daughter informs her mother that Bon Jovi has passed away. The mom slowly walks away in a stupor.

One prankster tells her family that Oprah died on Christmas Day.

Cher dead at 81. “My Cher?!” the mom responded. That’s right. Cher skipped five years of her life and then suddenly died at age 81.

Howard Stern dead at 68. Zac Efron dead at 35. Efron prompted a woman in the passenger seat of a car to uncontrollably start smacking the center console while angrily yelling, “No no no no!”

One person actually pulled the Michael Jackson card. “Michael Jackson dead at 50!” and clearly people were still surprised. Yes, that’s right. Michael Jackson died again.

“Donald Trump dead at 72. He was found in the breakers, drowned by hookers,” said one daughter.

The public is torn on whether or not this prank is actually funny. Many are pointing out that it’s hilarious that people care so much about people they’ve never even met.

“This trend has proven way too many people care deeply about other people that don’t know they exist,” one person wrote.

“These people acting like they grew up on the same street with these celebrities,” wrote another.

And others think that pretending someone died is shameful.

“Bro that’s so mean they must be feeling they are the next ones,” wrote a TikToker.

“Pranks that put people in a state of distress like this will never be funny to me,” wrote another.

“That celebrity dead prank is funny but it’s not funny I would lowkey be scared to speak about death in that way,” a superstitious commenter wrote.

The worst part is that the celebrity death prank was circulating TikTok around Christmas. What a way to end the year.
