Comedic actress Lake Bell isn’t afraid to say it: She relates to her kids more when she’s on pot.

Lake Bell made the joke/admission Wednesday at a party celebrating her new short film, according to People. The three-minute clip is essentially an advertisement promoting the consumption of cannabis during the holidays.
Cann, a marijuana-infused drink, created the “holi-daze” campaign with the online cannabis marketplace Jane.
The companies tapped Lake Bell to write and direct the short film, titled Cann-Do Holiday.
On Wednesday, she participated in a panel discussion about it. The event took place at Neuehouse, a workspace in Hollywood.
“I am straight up a better parent when I’m just two Canns in. I’m like on their level,” the 43-year-old actress said. “”I’m just like, ‘That is a f—ing crazy dinosaur!’ Like, ‘Let’s get on the ground right now and be f—ing crazy dinosaurs, let’s open some presents. F— it.’ I become literally a kid.”
The comments would’ve been considered taboo as recently as a few years ago.
The panel also featured Cann board member Rosario Dawson, among others.
Cann-Do Holiday: A Synopsis
As for Cann-Do Holiday, the film implies that marijuana is a superior substance compared to alcohol. A holiday dinner goes awry when some participants get drunk and belligerent.
Cann is portrayed as saving the day.
“The gathering becomes joyful and carefree as this family enjoys Cann’s signature microdose high together,” according to a press release. “The takeaway: You can’t change your family. You cann change your drink.”
Kate Hudson is also participating in the campaign.
“This holiday campaign illustrates how you can get into the holiday spirit, without any of the traditional, toxic holiday ‘spirits,’” pun-loving Cann co-founder Luke Anderson said in the statement.
