Fallon further explained on a conversation with Today that Betty White will be “the permanent guest” on the Password reboot. Fallon is executive producing the show, which airs on NBC. Palmer serves as host.

As We Got This Covered reported: “We had Betty White on our show to play (Password). She’s the permanent guest, always on Password. She met her husband, Allen Ludden, on that show. So we had Betty on the show and asked, ‘Would you ever want to play Password, remember that game?’ She’s like, ‘Are you kidding me? Of course!’ We played, and Betty crushed it; I mean, she really crushed it — she was awesome. So we played then, and we just kept playing on the show, and then we’re like, why is this not on TV?”

We Got This Covered further reported that the reboot of Password featured White in old-fashioned TV in its title sequences. Later in the episode, Fallon and guest Jon Hamm talked about the impact of White on the show.

Two months ago, Betty White’s former home in the suburbs of Los Angeles home sold for $10.678 million.

The Golden Girls star and her husband Allen Ludden purchased the colonial-style house in 1968 and lived together there until Ludden’s death in 1981. And following his passing, White remained at the property in Brentwood. It continued to be her primary residence until her own death last New Year’s Eve, at age 99. She spent her final moments in the home.
