That is basically the story of Belinda “Love” Rygier. A former Bachelor contestant and current coach/counselor for those who feel as if they are addicted to love. Or in this case, sex.
Rygier claims to have slept with at least 700 men (and some women). It’s not a badge she wears with honor. She was an admitted sex addict, she says today, and couldn’t even go grocery shopping without it being at the front of her mind.
“I was never self-aware,” Rygier told the Daily Mail. “The minute I was out, I was like, ‘Where’s a hot guy?’ Sex is the only addiction I fell for because it was making me feel loved. Love is really what I lacked in my life.”

At least one of these encounters involved Rygier being the mistress in an extramarital affair. Another involved the former sex addict being physically abused. But she didn’t press charges.
“When he pushed me down the stairs and locked me in the garage, I had a black eye and they thought my hand was broken. It was pretty bad,” she said.
“I went to work and they sent me home. The police came and they said because he had a scratch on his arm from my ring, after I tried to get him off me, we could both go to jail for domestic violence.”
It was then that Belinda Love knew she needed help. She sought counseling, determined to get things turned around.
Now, she aims to help other sex addicts realize that love is not a “competition” or a “challenge,” as so many of them seem to think.
“You have to heal the hurt, love yourself, understand your attachment style and love language to heal,” Rygier said.
