This past Wednesday, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were photographed while filming Bad Boys 4 in Atlanta, Georgia. One photograph provided by Backgrid showcased Smith dressed as his iconic character Mike Lowrey. Lawerence was seen in another photo donning a tracksuit while reprising his role of Marcus Burnett.

In other photos published by Daily Mail, recurring Bad Boys actor John Salley can be seen on the set of Bad Boys 4 as well. Bad Boys 4 producer Jerry Bruckheimer was also spotted on set.
Bad Boys 4 is Currently in Production
Bad Boys 4 was officially announced when Smith uploaded a video to Instagram accompanied by the caption, “IT’S ABOUT THAT TIME!” In the video, Smith drives to Lawrence’s home after telling viewers “I have an announcement. Y’all better stop scrolling.” He then accidentally hits himself with his camera and exclaims, “I hit myself in the eye with my camera!” While driving, Smith says to the audience, “I’ll give you guys a hint,” before playing music that’s featured in the Bad Boys films.
When Smith gets to Lawrence’s house, his Bad Boys co-star opens the door and excitedly says “It’s about that time?” before both announce that Bad Boys 4 is official. Smith refers to the new movie as Bad Boys For Life, but Lawrence reminds him that the title was actually used for the third film in the franchise.
Will Smith spoke to Ebony about the popular franchise’s legacy, saying, “For us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office — that two Black stars, two sitcom stars, could make money at the box office [was huge].” Smith has been largely out of the limelight since his infamous 2022 Oscars slap, with his only recent film Emancipation being delayed multiple times before finally receiving a quiet release in limited theaters and on Apple TV+.
The plot for Bad Boys 4 is currently being kept under wraps. Vannessa Hudgens has been reported to be part of the film’s cast. Bad Boys 4 is being directed by Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi from a script by Chris Bremner and does not currently have a release date.
