Wisconsin was among those hardest hit, with heavy snowfall being blamed for the partial collapse of a parking garage outside of Milwaukee. Other parts of the state experienced 3-to-4 inches of sleet and snow.

Meanwhile, power outages as a result of the weather hit everywhere from the Plains to the Northeast and impacted more than a million homes and businesses. Ice and high winds were viewed as the primary culprits.

Some of those outages could last several days, as the conditions are keeping utility companies from getting to work.

Along with all that, more than 2,000 flights have been canceled since Wednesday, with the likes of Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver and Detroit being among the cities being impacted. In Wyoming, portions of Interstate 80 were closed altogether.

On the bright side, the storm appears to slowly exit the U.S., though lighter slow remains and could still make cleanup difficult in New England and New York.
