TikTok Influencer Says She ‘Gained Double the Weight Back’ After Stopping Ozempic

Remi Bader, a well-known Tiktok and Instagram influencer, recently revealed that she has “gained double the weight back” after stopping the use of the diabetes medication, Ozempic. Ozempic is a medication that helps lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. The drug has recently been making its rounds online after it was suspected several celebrities have been using it to lose weight.

Speaking on an episode of Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast to host Amanda Hirsch, Bader shared her struggles, explaining that she had been taking Ozempic for several months to help control her blood sugar levels. However, after stopping the medication, she found that she had gained a significant amount of weight.

The influencer stated her doctor recommended she try Ozempic back in 2020 after it was approved by the FDA because she was pre-diabetic and gaining weight. “They said I need this. And I had a lot of mixed feelings,” she said. “A few months later I went off it and got into the bad binging.”

“I saw a doctor and they were like, it’s 100% because I went on Ozempic,” Bader stated. “It was making me think I wasn’t hungry for so long, I lost some weight. I didn’t wanna be obsessed with being on it long term. I was like, I bet the second I got off I’m gonna get starving again. I did, and my binging got so much worse. So then I kind of blamed Ozempic.”

Bader’s comment highlights the importance of understanding the potential side effects of medication and the importance of proper nutrition and exercise in weight management. According to their website, weight gain is one of the potential side effects of taking Ozempic.
