“Houston aquarium with Luna for @si_swimsuit launch week!!” Teigen wrote on her Instagram Saturday.
Clearly everyone’s favorite momma knows where the action’s at, because the downtown aquarium is just one of Houston’s favorite hot spots.
Named the most-visited attraction in Houston last year, as well as one of the top-most visited in the nation, the Houston Zoo welcomed a reported 2.55 million visitors in 2016, second only to San Diego’s prestigious menagerie.
Growing from two bison in Herman Park in 1922, Houston’s zoo continues to evolve into more than just the site of what could be a hilarious major motion picture about a pair of lover bison downtown.
Houstonia writer Katharine Shilcutt posted a beautiful write up on the zoo this morning, focusing on its dedication to conservation, which is a shared matter of pride for Houstonians, given the many nature preserves, like Armand Bayou Nature Center and Discovery Green, across town.
The aquarium is similarly dedicated to the preservation of marine life, especially through education, with both locations serving Houston through interactive and various events throughout the year.
