This year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards will be hosted by actress, producer, director, talk show host, and author, Drew Barrymore.

The multi-talented creative announced her hosting role in a promo clip for a Drew’s News Report segment on her daily talk show.

Barrymore introduced the doll from M3GAN, or, Drew dressed as M3GAN , into the clip. “Thank you Drew, I actually have news for you. You’re hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards! How exciting!,” the Drew-doll said.
“Wow, I am so honored to be chosen, especially this year when the show is all about the fans,” Barrymore replied.
Barrymore posed a question to Ghostface, who was seated beside her: “Are you also a fan of scary movies, like me?”
“It is going to be an epic night. Big moments. Huge movie stars. Cocaine bear are you free on May 7? The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards, we’ll be there,” she says to Cocaine Bear that joins the shot.
She turns to the audience and asks, “Will you?” As the camera focuses on Drew’s face, you can see her wearing the white M3GAN contact lenses.
Accolades
Drew has earned a few nominations and several wins at the award show in the past like Best Kiss for The Wedding Singer, Best On-Screen Team for Charlie’s Angels.
The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards will be broadcast to more than 150 countries internationally and produced under the umbrella company Paramount Media Networks & MTV Entertainment Studios, which includes MTV, Comedy Central, CMT, Paramount Network and TV Land. The awards show will air live on May 7th at 8 PM ET/PT on MTV.
